Docs needed for Tennessee IRP
1. 3 PROOFS OF ADDRESS
3 proofs of address REQUIRED. Acceptable proofs: TN Driver's License, copy of federal income tax, copy of Tennessee income tax, real estate tax or TN property tax, current TN voter registration, current bank statement, TN vehicle title, utility bills, mortgage statement or lease agreement.
2. VEHICLE TITLE COPY
Copy of Tennessee or out of state title (front and back). If name on title is different than what is on the IRP account, Owner's Authorization Form and Vehicle Lease Agreement will be required. For new vehicles: MSO / Certificate of Origin, Bill of Sale, and Sales Tax Form.
3. LEASE AGREEMENT
*Only If owner-operator leased on to a motor carrier.
4. Form 2290 (Heavy Highway Use Tax)
If vehicle was purchased more than 60 days ago Schedule 1 with IRS "Received" or "E-File" stamp would be needed. We can file it quickly if you don't have it.
5. IRP APPLICATIONS
TN IRP Schedule A & Schedule B. If previously had IRP registration in TN or any other state, applicants must report actual distance and provide a copy of previous registration on each vehicle being registered. Must provide active US DOT number for safety.
6. POWER OF ATTORNEY
Signed Power of Attorney will be needed in order for us to get your plate and registration.
